Throwbacks: Field Mob - Sick of Being Lonely

When Field Mob dropped their sophomore album From tha Roota to tha Toota in August 2002, they smuggled genuine heartbreak into the Dirty South playbook. "Sick of Being Lonely" gave the duo their first Billboard Hot 100 entry, climbing all the way to number 18.

The magic lives in the contrast. Shawn Jay and Smoke deliver rapid, twang-heavy verses about romantic exhaustion. Then Torica slides in.
