We have seen plenty of cinematic takes on the champ, but Prime Video is shifting the lens to episodic television. During the Essence Festival of Culture on Saturday, the streamer announced that its upcoming Muhammad Ali limited series, *The Greatest*, is officially scheduled to premiere on Wednesday, November 4. The project marks the very first authorized scripted series about Ali's life, with his widow Lonnie Ali on board as an executive producer to keep the narrative grounded in truth. Showrunner Ben Watkins is steering the ship, casting Jalen Best to portray Cassius Clay during his transformation into the cultural giant we know. The supporting lineup is heavy, featuring Omari Hardwick as Ali's father, Michael Ealy stepping into the shoes of Malcolm X, alongside Dana Gourrier, Amin Joseph, and Kai Parham. On the production side, Michael B. Jordan is bringing his Outlier Society banner to the table alongside Roc Nation, Blue Monday Productions, Authentic Studios, Polygram Entertainment, and Universal Music Group. With Jordan's team handling the executive production, those in-ring sequences should carry the same heavy-hitting choreography we saw across the *Creed* franchise.
