Long-Awaited Nipsey Hussle and Bino Rideaux Album ‘Prolific’ Is Here

Seven years after we tragically lost Nipsey Hussle, his presence still hangs heavy over the culture. Now, his first posthumous project is finally here. *Prolific*, a collaborative album with South Central’s own Bino Rideaux, has officially made its way out of the vaults. During a recent promotional run in New York, Bino and Nipsey’s older brother, Blacc Sam, rolled up to the Billboard offices with a 25-person deep entourage of the All Money In family to break down how this lost piece of history came together. According to Billboard, the 15-track album was recorded over a three-month sprint back in 2017 at Tarzana’s NoName Studios—the legendary space once home to Death Row in the '90s and leased by Ye for G.O.O.D. Music during these sessions. Originally titled *Single for the Summer*, the project was tracked before their 2017 mixtape *No Pressure*. It shows an experimental, vulnerable side of Neighborhood Nip, who traded his usual street sermons to paint vivid pictures of relationship drama and romantic escapades over woozy basslines, trunk-rattling drums, and Caribbean rhythms. The production lineup is a masterclass in West Coast chemistry, featuring beats from Mike & Keys, MYGUYMARS, and Rance 1500, with MixedByAli handling the mixing duties. They brought in heavy-hitting company too, locking in features from Cardi B, Ty Dolla $ign, and even a posthumous appearance from the legendary Static Major.
