Night Lovell Returns With Spooky New Single "Run"
Ottawa's own Night Lovell has been carving out his own lane in the underground for years, building a loyal following off the strength of his self-produced, pitch-black rap anthems. After keeping his supporters waiting on his next move, the Canadian artist is officially gearing up for his next project, My Blood As The Ink, which is scheduled to drop on August 28. To set the stage, he just unloaded his latest single, "Run." First reported by HotNewHipHop, the track is a heavy dose of the eerie aesthetic Lovell has mastered. The production leans heavily into a dark, spooky atmosphere, creating a massive pocket for his signature reverb-laced vocals to bounce off of. He uses the space to vent about the pressures of his rising status, rapping, "Why they tryna take my soul away? / Now I don’t got a f***in’ chance to focus on my life." It is a grim, heavy-hitting preview of what is coming later this August. Check it out below.
