LUCKI Announces Fifth Album 'Drugs R Bad

March 22, 2026·1 min read

LUCKI announced his fifth studio album "Drugs R Bad" on March 18, 2026, with a May 15 release date. The announcement came via Instagram with no additional details beyond the title and release window.

The Chicago rapper has remained independent throughout his career, operating under a distribution deal with EMPIRE while retaining ownership of his masters. He currently holds 6.2 million monthly Spotify listeners. His previous album "Gemini!" released in June 2024.

LUCKI's highest Billboard 200 position came from "Flawless Like Me," which peaked at #12 in 2022. He told a Kids Take Over interviewer last year that the album title comes from his recovery from pill addiction: "cause drugs are bad, and you can't say I'm glorifying it if I'm telling you drugs are bad."

The title continues his pattern of blunt, self-aware naming following "Sx Mney Dr*gs" (2023) and "Gemini!" (2024).
