Ms. Lauryn Hill and Family Anchor the Return of Denim Tears Denim
Tremaine Emory’s Denim Tears has announced the Spring/Summer 2026 return of its core denim program, anchored by a campaign featuring Ms. Lauryn Hill and her six children. Photographed by Liam MacRae, the imagery shifts the focus from the brand’s usual historical provocations toward a study of lineage and the preservation of legacy. It is a rare, unified public appearance for the Hill-Marley family, framing the collection’s signature iconography through the lens of a musical dynasty. The SS26 release marks a technical evolution for the brand, introducing a Jacquard Cotton Wreath finish alongside the standard heavyweight and selvedge offerings. By moving the Cotton Wreath motif into a jacquard weave, Emory is leaning further into textile development while maintaining the silhouette's status as a modern uniform. The collection, which includes the signature Trucker Jacket and baggy denim, serves as a reminder that Denim Tears operates best when it bridges the gap between high-concept storytelling and the foundational elements of American style.
