J. Cole is Dropping a Physical Print Magazine Dedicated to Hip-Hop History
J. Cole is taking his love for hip-hop print culture to the printing press. To expand the legacy of his album *The Fall-Off*, Cole is releasing a 144-page physical magazine of the same name. HotNewHipHop reports that the collector's edition is being led by Editor-In-Chief Bonsu Thompson and VP of Creative Felton Brown, aiming to capture the spirit of the classic rap publications that raised us. This isn't a quick promotional booklet. The lineup of interviews inside is heavy, featuring sit-downs with JAŸ-Z, Lauryn Hill, RZA, GloRilla, J.I.D, Lil Yachty, and Cash Cobain. According to Cole's website, the project uses original essays, photography, and archival imagery to bridge the gap between generations. Thompson shared that the goal is to humanize the starpower and educate the world on the craftsmen behind the culture, emphasizing that the final product requires "no wifi needed." It is a rare moment for physical rap journalism. The limited-run magazine is available now on Cole's website for $40 USD ahead of his upcoming world tour. Go grab a copy.
