Is Fetty P Franklin Charlotte's Next Major Export?
Charlotte always has something to say, but Fetty P Franklin is forcing the region to listen. According to a new spotlight from djscreamtv, the question isn't if the West Side native is next up, but how fast he is going to run up the numbers. He has been building a catalog of blunt, motivational street rap since the late 2010s, and the momentum is finally catching up to his work ethic. His music is rooted in real-life survival. When Fetty was five, his father was sentenced to 20 years in prison. Years later, Fetty found his own voice behind prison walls at 18, picking up a pen after another inmate challenged his rapping ability. He took that doubt, went back to his cell, and started writing. You can hear that hard-earned resilience on his track "HUSTLIN’ GRINDIN’ HUSTLIN’" featuring DaBaby, where his voice sits heavy over thick, driving bass. The work speaks for itself. Hear it below.
