BTS’ ‘ARIRANG’ Opens With 3.98 Million Day-One Sales
March 22, 2026·1 min read
BTS returned from its military hiatus with ARIRANG, which sold 3.98 million physical copies in its first 24 hours, according to reporting tied to Hanteo Chart data. The release arrived a day before the group’s free Seoul comeback show, which local and AP-based reporting said drew crowds of up to 250,000 and streamed globally on Netflix.
The rollout also includes a Netflix documentary, BTS: THE RETURN, scheduled to premiere March 27. ABC10 reported the comeback tour was announced earlier this year and will run across 79 shows in more than 34 regions, beginning in April.
The opening sales figure tops BTS’ previous first-week benchmark for Map of the Soul: 7, which sold 3.37 million copies in 2020.
