The Three Stripes Goes Fully 3D: adidas Unveils the BB.01

July 7, 2026·1 min read

adidas is finally bringing its 3D-printing tech straight to the hardwood. Over a decade after the brand shook the industry up with its Futurecraft innovations, the Three Stripes has officially pulled back the curtain on the BB.01 Additive. This is the brand's first-ever fully 3D-printed performance basketball sneaker, and it looks like something straight out of a sci-fi flick. Following a quiet run on the college basketball courts this past season, the BB.01 is ready for the public. The mid-cut silhouette dumps traditional textiles and foams for a specialized resin outer shell, utilizing a dynamic lattice design across the sidewalls to let your foot flex naturally. adidas engineered higher-density printed zones at the toes, heels, and midsole to keep you locked in during hard cuts, while a soft textile inner bootie keeps things comfortable. The debut "Solar Red/Orbit Grey" colorway is an absolute head-turner, featuring an Orbit Grey base contrasted by aggressive Solar Red hits and a printed stripe motif that forms the traction-heavy outsole. These land July 14, 2026, for $250 USD on the adidas Confirmed app. Check them out below.
